The workshop is sponsored by the World CoDA Outreach Committee and will provide information and encouragement for sponsors and sponsees.
Step Twelve Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other codependents, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
Current CoDA sponsors and sponsees will share their experience, strength and hope regarding sponsorship.

Time: 10:00-15:00 With fellowship from 15:00-16:00
CoDA UK is holding its next business meeting which is open to members from all the national meetings and representatives of regional groups. This meeting will be the AGM, which we haven’t held for a couple of years, and all members are invited to join us to hear and discuss annual reports from all areas of service work, and to join in fellowship afterwards.
Join us online/by phone to discuss national CoDA business and hear how service in CoDA UK happens. NSC Committee Members and Group Service Representatives (GSRs) are able to vote on any motions proposed. There will be time for questions about the NSC and any aspect of service and our work in the fellowship time after the main meeting ends at 3pm. You can read more about service on the NSC here.
The meeting will follow the successful recent format, with 30 second shares from each member before a vote is taken, if one is required. Please note that there may not be enough time in the meeting to go through any written reports in detail so we ask all members to come prepared, having read the reports and agenda items in advance, so that we have time for questions, and sharing and reflection during each agenda item.
Please note, the minute taker will record any votes and actions, which we will review at the end of the meeting. Any references to individuals are on a first name basis only. If you do not wish to be mentioned by name in the minutes, please make this clear to the minute taker.
There is no requirement to attend the whole meeting – feel free to drop in at any time during the day. We ask that you put your name and home group (if you have one) in the chat, and please mention if you’re a GSR so we can keep track of the voting entity for any items which require a vote.
AGM Reports – for meeting
Important point – please read through the attached reports before attending the meeting. We have a lot of business to attend to and there may not be time to go through every report in detail during the meeting, so it’s important that members have some understanding of what’s being discussed in advance – especially those who can vote (NSC committee members, GSRs and anyone voted by their group to be acting GSR for the day).
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 4th February.

The following agreed proposals from recent NSC meetings may guide us in our service:
20th March 2021 NSC meeting Agenda item 1 – That the minutes to NSC meetings be limited to the proposals/votes only and relevant committee member’s reports detailing business information e.g. Treasurer’s Report/PI/Hospitals and Institutions. The minutes will include ‘dissenting voices’ which will be specifically relayed to the secretary after the vote; the comments will be attributed to the member who made them. Abstain – 0 Against – 0 In favour – 15 Motion carried
5th December 2020 NSC meeting Agenda item 15 – For this and the next NSC meeting we go with a majority vote i.e. the total of the in-favour votes is greater than the sum of the against and abstentions. The total of the votes is based on how many people are in the meeting and eligible to vote. Abstentions are made as members don’t have the confidence to make a yes or no decision so need to be accounted for. Abstain – 1 Against – 0 In favour – 9 Motion carried
5th December 2020 NSC meeting – Agenda item 7 Propose that when discussions diverge away from the agenda item, the Chair can clarify with the sharer the new discussion point and raise it as an independent AOB item added to the end of the meeting or a sub- committee to discuss the item and report back to the NSC. Abstain – 2 Against – 0 In favour – 8 Motion carried
We welcome all CoDA Members and newcomers in our region – from Birmingham & Midlands, right up to and including North West England, North East England, all of Scotland, North and South Wales and Northern Ireland.
Representatives and members from meetings not aligned with a current intergroup or region are also welcome to join and represent group members at the AGM.
All members are welcome to attend both the AGM and the literature workshop.
An agenda is being drawn up for business as new members have taken on service positions. The north and regions committee hope to represent the voice of group members at the upcoming CoDA service conference online. Time will also be allocated for AOB items brought to the meeting.
CoDA Literature Workshop
All members welcome from every area.
We hold this CoDA Literature Workshop every three months where we read, share and familiarise ourselves with selected sections of our CoDA Service Conference (CSC) endorsed literature.
It is a friendly, safe space to view different CoDA literature together which has assisted or might assist us in our CoDA recovery. (Suggestions are always welcome for future Workshops).
This Workshop we will be viewing parts of the Twelve-Piece Relationship Toolkit Booklet, together with the new revised Making Choices in Recovery Booklet, which is full of amazing affirmations. We will also be looking at the Co-Dependents Anonymous (Blue) Book – Chapter Five and also how CoDA Conference Endorsed literature has helped us or might help us in our CoDA road to recovery, sharing our experience, strength and hope.
If we have time we will view other CoDA Service Conference (CSC) endorsed literature.
There will be plenty of time for sharing as our intergroup business session has been moved to the mornings.
All are welcome from whichever area.
We look forward to welcoming you on Zoom. Details below:

Working the Steps in CoDA: exploring different sponsorship approaches.
CoDA UK Sponsorship Committee will host a Zoom Sponsorship workshop
Sunday 22nd January 2023, 4-6pm UK time (8-10am Pacific time) (doors open half an hour before)
Are you looking for a sponsor?
Are you wondering if you’re ready to be a sponsor?
Are you looking for new sponsees?

People will share how they found a sponsor. You have to do your part. Finding a sponsor is an active process within Recovery. We have to investigate our own route to acquiring a sponsor through attending weekly meetings, doing service in a home group and joining WhatsApp groups (see below).
This event will be limited to the first 100 people who log-in. No registration is needed.
These workshops have not to date exceeded the maximum number of participants, so you should be able to join easily. The link below will be valid on the day.
The meeting will open at 3.30 for a 4.00 start.
4.00 – Start all the readings
4:15 – Shares on being a sponsor/co-sponsor (2 shares), Shares on being a sponsee (2 shares)

The Retreat will take place at Noddfa spirituality centre. Noddfa is home to a small, extremely kind and friendly spiritual group of religious Sisters and is a venue used by 12 Step and numerous other groups throughout the year. It is a lovely old house with views of the sea and the hills. The grounds are full of trees, colourful shrubs and flowers. There is also a walled vegetable garden, a labyrinth and many other hidden treasures.
NODDFA is a Welsh word meaning ‘haven’ or ‘refuge’. A place of peace and welcome, a place where you can regain energy. This is the venue we have again chosen for our Retreat and we hope it will be a time for you to relax and recharge while taking time to be self-aware.
During your stay it is not compulsory to attend all the meetings if you do not wish to.
The beach is a 10 minute walk downhill, and obviously it takes longer coming back. The mountains are also accessible and the grounds around Noddfa are vast. Most of the bedrooms are for single occupancy and each floor has ample washing facilities and plenty of tea-making areas.
Please bring a towel and a hot water bottle for extra comfort. The rooms (and attendance) will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
It is assumed that the retreat will be able to accommodate around 36 attendees as with previous years.
The food at Noddfa is wholesome and plentiful (and their soda bread is delicious!). If you need a special diet i.e. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free etc. please inform Noddfa when you are booking directly with them.

The CoDA big book
The codependents anonymous workbook
In this moment daily meditation book
…along with reading selections from CoDA approved literature.
CoDA literature will be available to purchase during the retreat. Bring along a teddy, picture of yourself as a child and anything that may help reach and comfort your child within.
The Retreat will take place at Noddfa.
Any further CODA queries for the retreat please contact Pete by phone/WhatsApp on 07853865040 or by email petehcoda@outlook.com
The food at Noddfa is wholesome and plentiful (and their soda bread is delicious!). If you need a special diet i.e. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free etc. please inform Noddfa when you are booking directly with them. We are looking forward to an exciting and uplifting Retreat and to welcome new and previous participants.

Meetings are every 3 months and are principally a forum for Group Service Representatives (GSRs) and members to come together in CoDA spiritual principles of service and unity to discuss CoDA business, share what is working in their meetings, raise issues, and discuss putting on events and other community building activities.
Due to low attendance from GSRs and members, and a shortage of people willing to take over as committee members, the next meeting will be discussing the winding down of the committee and a possible move to quarterly service workshops and GSR Forum. Please come along to share experience, strength and hope.
Working the steps in CoDA; Exploring different sponsorship approaches
Saturday 8th October 2022, 4pm – 6.30pm (UK time)(12pm – Noon – EST) (doors open 3.30; there will be a 15 minute comfort break)
Are you looking for a sponsor?
Are you wondering if you’re ready to be a sponsor?
Are you looking for new sponsees?
Come along to listen and share experience, strength and hope about being a sponsee, a sponsor or a co-sponsor.
This workshop is an introduction to the various ways of sponsorship, and not necessarily the place where you will find a sponsor. People will share how they found a sponsor. You have to do your part. Finding a sponsor is an active process within Recovery. We have to investigate our own route to acquiring a sponsor through attending weekly meetings, doing service in a home group and joining WhatsApp groups (see below).
No registration is required to attend this event. Zoom limit of 100 people
Format: A CoDA meeting with a 15 minute break. Only CoDA speakers. Only CoDA approved literature.
No entrance fee. 7th Tradition donated to your home group.

CoDA UK is holding its next business meeting which is open to members from all the national meetings and representatives of regional groups.
Join us online/by phone to discuss national CoDA business and share news from your groups. NSC Committee Members and Group Service Representatives (GSRs) are able to vote on any motions proposed.
The meeting will follow the successful recent format of 10 minutes per agenda item, with 30 second shares from each member before a vote is taken, if one is required.
If you do not wish to be mentioned by name in th minutes, please make this clear to the minute taker.

In recent years, the National Service Committee (NSC) of CoDA UK has flourished, with members filling most of the available service positions. However, due to personal circumstances, several committee members have recently had to step down from their roles, and this means there are a number of vacant positions, which could have an impact on the work of the NSC.
To take account of all these changes and ensure the health of the NSC, it has been agreed by members that we will hold an open Group Inventory to look at the NSC and its work at our next scheduled meeting on 7th May. Everyone in the fellowship is welcome to attend.
The format for this session is included in the attached agenda and the meeting will be chaired by Andy from the London and South East Region.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 7th May.

Ken R. and Mary R. founded Co-Dependents Anonymous in 1986. Today, they specialize in helping people achieve their maximum effectiveness by applying the practices and principles of CoDA’s Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions.
The Q&A (question and answer period) will provide a question from each language to be asked on a first come first serve basis. There will be a round robin of one question per language. Submit your question to your Interpreter who will submit the translation to Events. English speaking attendees can give their question to Events directly. There will be further instructions in the morning to help connect to the Interpretation channels, and more.
For safety, registration is a 2-Step process with Eventbrite and then with Zoom. Please expect a Zoom Invitation to REGISTER A SECOND TIME before the event. COMPLETE the ZOOM REGISTRTIO and the Zoom Webinar link to the Global Conversation with Ken & Mary will be sent to your email before 17th July.
Translation will be available in Farsi, French, Hebrew, Italian, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Portuguese.
This World Event will have 9 languages being interpreted in a consecutive style which means the presenter will speak then pause (meaning the English room will be silent) to give time for the Interpreters to convey their message in the Zoom interpretation channels. This speak and pause method will occur for the duration of their talks and the Q&A.
